Cara Mia Baking Co. began its journey in 2019 as The Trim Tart, tucked in the heart of Lomita, California. A few years later, we embraced a new name—Cara Mia Baking Co.—to reflect our growth while holding tight to the values that made our bakery special from the start. Now under new ownership, our commitment hasn’t changed: to craft exceptional traditional, vegan, and gluten-free baked goods for everyone in our community.

We believe great baking starts with great ingredients. That’s why we use ethically and single-source chocolate from Equal Exchange, along with premium selections from Guittard and Ghirardelli to create bold, memorable flavors. Our compotes and flavorings are imported from Italy, and all of our dyes are both Kosher and Halal certified. We’re intentional about what goes into our kitchen because inclusivity, transparency, and quality matter in everything we make.
